Die Gäste im Ristorante Francesco bekommen viel geboten. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und wenn man Glück hat, gibt es gratis einen Familienkrach dazu, daß die Zabaione auch ohne Schlagen steif wird. Francesco ist seit 30 Jahren in Deutschland, hat immer gut für die Familie gesorgt. Doch jetzt kommt es knüppeldick. Seine Freundin Hilde hat Probleme mit ihm, seine Frau Severina fällt aus allen Wolken, als sie erfährt, daß er sie seit 18 Jahren betrügt, die Kinder und Enkel können kaum noch italienisch. Zu allem Überdruß hat sein bester Freund Karlheinz Eheprobleme und als das heimliche Oberhaupt und Geldgeber der Familie auftaucht, fängt der Spaß erst richtig an.
