Bis heute werden die Filme von Karl Valentin und Liesl Karlstadt oftmals in technisch unzulänglichen Versionen gezeigt. Denn die Negative sind meist vernichtet, der Großteil der Vorführkopien verschwunden, nahezu ein Viertel des Gesamtwerkes gilt heute als verschollen. Schon 1929 wurde per Zeitungsinserat nach Valentins Stummfilmen gesucht ... Anlässlich der neuen Gesamtausgabe von Film 101 wurden sämtliche erhaltenen Filme vom jeweils besten verfügbaren Material komplett neu digitalisiert und remastered.

Im Photoatelier / 1932 / 27 min.: Den kennich gut - der braucht nicht mehr kommen, den fotografierich auswendig.

Orchesterprobe / 1933 / 22 min.: Der Rhythmus fehlt auch? Den kennich gar nicht. Sein Brudern, glaubich, kennich!

Im Schallplattenladen / 1933 / 22 min.: So runde dunkelschwarze Platten... - Mit Musik? ... Nein, mit Schall

Der Firmling / 1934 / 23 min.: Ist das ein Grund, daß man den ganzen Tag lacht, wenn man jung ist? Ich war auch einmal jung, vielleicht jünger wie er.

Die Erbschaft / 1936 / 21 min.: Von der nationalsozialistischen Filmzensur verboten, erst 1976 uraufgeführt!
